Giving back and volunteering in the community where I live, and also within a larger scale/network is deeply motivating.

I am currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Association of Pedestrian & Bicycle Professionals (APBP), which is a professional community of practitioners working to create healthier and more resilient spaces and places. APBP helps foster knowledge sharing, advance technical expertise, and support the professional development of their members who work in the fields of transportation planning, engineering, urban planning,, public health and active living.

I am also a co-founder of Toronto East Cyclists a group working to enhance bike culture in the city through rides and community celebrations. We have been active in our community since 2011 and are always trying new ideas to expand our impact.
