866
That is how many Ward 36 residents voted for me. I am truly humbled by this number.
I am humbled, as anyone who follows local politics knows that this is a tremendous first step for someone (read: me) that has basically zero political capital, and no name recognition. But this has now changed.
My team and I scored 866 votes in only 8 weeks of campaigning. Again, this short time frame puts things into perspective.
I was able to push the urban agenda forward in Ward 36, and the responses to the PLATFORM at the door were always encouraging.
Simply put, my Plan was both ROBUST, and perhaps more importantly the most REALISTIC, and I am encouraged that my message is permeating and reaching into my community.
I say thanks to my immediate family and friends, who supported me in both in spirit and financially. There is no doubt, that I am VERY fortunate to have you all in my life.
To ALL of my volunteers, my Team and I thank you for your time and efforts, as your involvement was a key factor in grabbing my share of votes.
I met and got to know so many of my fellow Ward 36 residents during this run, and I will continue to work with you all to make ‘home’ better.
Well, my Team and I now have one election under our belts. I must also give a sincere thank you to my Campaign Team members, Jen, Jay, Joan, and Clarine. You guys were solid and committed from day one, and it goes without saying that I would never have reached the 25th, without your collective support. This is a FACT.
I love how my Team is already strategizing what the next steps are….. simply amazing.
We learned SO MUCH, we WILL get better, I WILL get better, and I look forward to…
…Step 2.
